Iron Removal

Private well water is not always pristine. Many naturally occurring conditions render water aesthetically difficult. Most common in our geographic territory is water with high levels of iron content.  Clear water iron (ferrous) can be present in deep wells that typically operate with a submersible pump. These well are often between 150’ and 350’ in depth. Here oxygen is depleted and as the water is drawn to the surface it will ultimately be in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and the iron will oxidize and make its presence obvious as discolored water. This is the most common iron condition we experience. Our treatment design is predicated on the subtleties of the water chemistry. Having said this, the average complete cost (equipment and installation) to treat this condition is $1350.00 - $1550.00.
